      ListMessenger Support Forum Updated   08/08/2017

We just wanted to mention that we have just upgraded our support forum software to the latest and greatest version of Invision Community. This will translate to a significantly better experience for users and hopefully a huge reduction in the amount of forum spam that pops up. Forum spam is poison to a support forum such as this because it robs support administrators of time which would have other wise went to providing important responses.

I just have installed ListMessenger on a local machine for testing.

But wher to configure the mailserver?

I have not found any information about the install-files or the documentation...

What is wrong with me?

You will have configured the mail system when you installed PHP - at least to get the PHP mail() function working. If PHP mail() works, you'll be able to get ListMessenger working.

Hello Dieter,

If you need to install ListMessenger on your local machine for testing you will likely need to configure SMTP for sending (ListMessenger > Control Panel > Preferences > E-Mail Configuration). That said, I would highly recommend skipping that step and just installing it on a hosted server somewhere instead. You will have far fewer issues that way.

Best Regards,

Matt Simpson
